Through public events we give our students to practice their skills in a real environment, below are just some of the things you might have an opportunity to be involved with!

Brighton Jetty Classic Swim

The Brighton Jetty Classic, the largest ocean swimming event in South Australia. Over 1,000 swimmers entered the event in 2007 and in 2008 SAHEC is once again onboard to provide massages on the day. This gives the students an opportunity to practice their skills in a live situation under the supervision of our staff. The Brighton classic is an excellent community event and provides invaluable experience to our students.

Masters Games 2005 & 2007

SAHEC was the offical supplier of massage at the Masters Games in 2005 and 2007. In 2007 25 students completed a total of 485 clinic hours at 5 different events, covering 15 days of sports at the Games. Students received outstanding feedback from the competitors and gained valuable experience.

World Police and Fire Games 2007

26 Graduates worked at 16 different sport events and covered 46 days of competition. Over 30 students completed a total of 370 clinic hours at the Polyclinic on 7 days including 1 day of Triathlon and 2 days of Athletics. Graduates and students received outstanding feedback from the competitors and several even received little gifts or badges from police and firemen from all over the world.
