David Stelfox | |

David Stelfox has been a natural medicine practitioner since 1984, with qualifications in Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine, Nutritional Medicine and Remedial Massage, and has been active in natural medicine education nationally since 1987. A member of the Industry Skills Reference Group (ISRG) responsible for the development of the initial National Health Training Package in 2001 and 2002, David was appointed Chairperson of the ISRG for the review of the National Health Training Package for Complementary and Alternative Medicine in 2005 and 2006. He has written natural medicine courses in both the Vocational Education and Higher Education sectors for several Australian colleges. David has established, and practiced in, several multi-modality health care clinics, which have incorporated up to 12 different natural medicine modalities. He has been a co-editor and contributing author for "Foundations of Massage", a text that is used in massage courses throughout Australia. David is the "resident naturopath and educator" on a weekly ABC Radio program that introduces different aspects and views on natural medicine to the general public, and regularly presents views on natural medicine topics for Channel Seven News in Adelaide.
He is an Executive Director and Vice President of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society, Australia 's leading professional association for natural medicine.
David's major areas of interest are traditional/indigenous healing systems, integrated holistic health care and natural medicine research that is appropriate to the true philosophy and principles of holistic medicine. |

Kevin Watkins

Kevin Watkins is highly respected in the natural therapies industry in Australia as an educator, practitioner and designer of course curricula. He has designed and conducted massage courses at SAHEC, the Flinders University of South Australia and in the Department of Physiotherapy at the Khon Kaen University in Thailand , where he is also involved in Bowen Therapy research. He has also worked in Denmark and the USA.
Kevin worked as a massage therapist at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur and the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. In 2002 he was appointed an Executive Director of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. The following year he developed partnerships with universities in Thailand for student exchange, collaborative research and international workshops. Kevin was part of the industry reference group that helped to develop national standards for massage training in Australia |

Lecturers
We choose our lecturers from across Australia. All are leaders in their fields.
To be employed at SAHEC, staff must:
- Have a recognised award in their area of expertise.
- Have completed Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Operate their own business in the area in which they teach (for lecturers teaching the skills-based modules).
- Undergo SAHEC training to ensure quality and consistency.
- Be sensitive to the cultural and learning needs of students.
