Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

We welcome students' applications for recognition and credit for prior study. SAHEC provides 3 different processes for application of prior study recognition. These are Application for Credit Transfer, Application for Recognition of Prior Learning, and Application for Mutual Recognition. Details of these processes are provided in the SAHEC Policies Document under Downloads on our website. Please refer to the Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer Policy and the Mutual Recognition Policy in that document. Application forms for these processes are available from Student Services Reception.

Mutual Recognition

We recognise Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) credentials and qualifications issued by any other registered training organisation in Australia. This means you can directly transfer credits achieved in these courses to contribute towards your SAHEC qualification. The AQF is a unified system of national qualifications in schools, vocational education and training providers and the higher education sector.

SACE

SAHEC modules are approved by SSABSA to count towards the South Australian Certificate in Education (SACE). Year 11 and 12 students can complete our Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice which counts as eight units towards the 22 required for the SACE. Your secondary school careers counsellor can give you more information.
