Why study at SAHEC

The South Australian Health Education Centre (SAHEC) is a well-known, respected and leading training college in the field of natural therapies. Our graduates enjoy successful careers in massage, naturopathy, western herbal medicine and other natural therapies. Here are 10 solid reasons why students choose to study at SAHEC.
National recognition
We are a recognised training organisation providing industry and government accredited courses. All courses are Youth Allowance, Austudy and Abstudy approved. Our courses are accredited by the major professional associations nationally.
Respect
We have an excellent reputation in the natural therapies community and beyond. Our graduates are sought after by natural health practitioners and others across Australia.
Great facilities
Our modern and well-equipped college is conveniently located in the city of Adelaide, close to public transport. No other training college has student facilities like ours - for example, students develop and practice their skills in individual clinic rooms within our on-campus public clinics.
Excellent staff
Our highly trained and professional lecturers are handpicked from throughout Australia. Naturally, they're experts in their fields (and friendly too!)A timetable to suit you
You can build your own timetable to suit your budget and other commitments, with day, evening and weekend classes on offer. Some modules are also available by distance education. We enrol new students throughout the year, not just at the beginning. This is particularly useful for graduates and natural therapists who want to upgrade their existing knowledge and skills.
Flexible payment
Our courses are delivered in blocks or semesters of study, and specialisation courses in module units. Early enrolment secures your place in the course modules for that term of study. You may choose to take advantage of the payment arrangement plans we offer that guarantee your seat within a particular course, or you may pay per module. This is especially appreciated by people who are working or planning a career transition.Student clinics
Our professionally supervised fully-equipped massage and naturopathy clinics will give you hands-on experience with real clients while you study. You will be given thorough feedback and will also learn the "ins and outs" of running a business. Our clinical modules provide the opportunity for you to develop your confidence in clinical practice before you graduate.
Support for students
We back our students with strong support. Manuals and textbooks are included
in the cost course.
Student Services are available to talk through any issues and offer assistance.
Partnerships
We have strong relationships with universities, community groups and industry throughout Australia and internationally. Study tours to Thailand are organised each year.vPathways to higher learning
